Guest guest
My son is 12 years old. These are his latest saliva tests from Diagnos-Techs. Estradiol 7 (range 1-3) Progesterone 631 (5-95) Free Testerone 8 (70-135) Cortisol 8am - 5 (13-24) noon - 3 (5-10) 5pm - 1 (3-8) 10pm - 1 (1-4) DHEA 1 (3-10) Cortisol Burden 10 (23-42) TSH 39 (26-85) Free T4 0.22 (0.17-0.42) Free T3 0.42 (0.28-1.1) TPO - Ab, SIgA negative To me, it looks like his cortisol is very low, his progesterone may be elevated in response. His Free T4 is a bit low, his Free T3 is much too low. I am concerned about his elevated estradiol, although that could be in response to his low cortisol if that response is applicable to men as well as women. It happened to me. Another concern is his extremely low Testosterone. That would possibly explain why he has not shown any signs of body hair, or pueberty....not that I am trying to hurry that at all! I also know that different kids reach that at different ages. So it may not mean anything. Please let me know what you think. I have an appointment with my DO next week. I would appreciate any help.
