Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the group and am so glad to have found this website!

It'll be nice to have women with knowledge and experience to talk

to!!! I've got a few questions and if anyone can help me out with

them I sure will appreciate it...

I had a wide excision and axillary node surgery almost 3 weeks ago.

The edge of my armpit between my breast and armpit feels like it's

been chaffed and feels like it should be red, but isn't. Is there

anything I can put on it to ease this feeling? Will it go away or

lessen eventually?

I've read some stuff about radiation that's got me a bit spooked

about it. I'll be starting the first week of December and I'm

wondering if there's anything I can do to help prep my skin before

radiation. I'm a firm believer in aloe vera and was wondering if

any of you use the plant itself instead of lotions with aloe in

them. If so, do you take it with you and apply right after

radiation? Would you wait a little while then before applying

lotion? What lotions have you found to be the best? Ever since I

found out I have breast cancer I've found the hardest part has

been " the not knowing what it'll be like " . Any info will be greatly

appreciated! Thanks, Cealy
