This list may not be the " know-it-all-Atkins-list " , but it is filled with REAL people who have REAL problems and feelings and we are all free to express them here. That makes this list truly unique. Even our beloved Joya knew where to come for love and support.... she should, she's one of the reasons the list is the way it is. I agree with Dianne too, we are all family and you are definitely one supportive sister!!! Love ya, Kari

Guest guest
> I would like to thank all the people who respned to my concerns about > Amiodarone. Your input is greatly appreciated. I feel my decision will > be made from a much more knowledgable position. Thanks again Jacky, I have been taking 800mg a day for a week now. I converted from persistant AF to RSN the evening of the 5th day. My only noticable side effect is a mild facial flushing. My dosage will be titrated downward weekly till a maintainance dosage of 200mg is reached. Realizing that we are all different, you might want to give it a chance. I KNOW what it has done for me in the short term. Bob (69 yrs) Stanton, CA
Guest guest
Hi, I'm currently in the same boat as you are. I have a lump on my left breast. In June I had a mammogram done and then an ultra sound. I am at this time waiting until December 7th to go back for another ultrasound. The wait is very hard and frustrating. Thanks for your time. > > My purpose for joining the group is not because I have been diagonised > with breast cancer, but because the doctors have found a lump in my > left breast and Ihave to wait six mts to have the mammagram > repeated.which will be in Jan 2007.My fear stems from the fact that I > have lost a few members from my family to cancer. My questions are > should I wait or fine another doctor and have the tests done now? Guest guest
call your doctor back and tell them 6 months is not smart or safe. tell them you want a biopsy and if they don't comply get your records and get another doc. -- Re: Thank you Hi. When I had my annual mammogram this past summer, they called me back for more views, and then told me that they needed to do an ultrasound. My breasts are still pretty dense. They decided that it was a cyst, but want me to come back in about six months. They said that they were being more cautious because of my high risk of breast cancer. If I go back and there is a negative change, they already said that they would want me to go for a biopsy. And that's when they now said that it's a cyst. So, I think that if there was a non-cyst lump, that they would want to do more than do another mammo in 6 months. I sat there waiting for them to tell me that there was a mass! I am pretty inexperienced in this, but if it's not a cyst, why are they waiting?
