Guest guest
I wake up utterly exhausted - mornings are the worst for me. If there is not anything that I absolutely MUST do, I don't leave the house. I think debilitating is a good word for it. I nap whenever possible but wake up unrefreshed. The fatigue used to be worse in the few days right before my period, with a few days after it where I felt a bit better, but I have had a hysterectomy and now I'm sorry to say it's like that all the time. Never thought I'd wish for a period again! Learning all this new info is daunting, but this site is great. Hope it helps. - (in UK) > Hi everyone. Guest guest
Thanks Carol. Do you feel your thyroid treatment is optimal? When mine was not, I had to sleep in the afternoon no matter what was going on. I understand when you say you don't plan things at night because you are afraid you will fall asleep. I hope things improve for all of us soon!
Guest guest
It's weird how it happens too, finding the underlined cause is the hardest thing...was it from thyroid meds being inadequate for too long? is it a lingering virus? do I have chronic fatigue syndrome even? is it the pituitary not working? Finding a doc who understands is the best bet, and even then affording to see a doc who understands fatigue is even harder, a lot dont accpet insurance. Don't waist your time if your doc tells you you dont have a problem, they often will unless you've got full blown addisons disease. Good Luck, this is a great place to get the help you need!!! Actually, this is the ONLY place I've gotten the help I need. > > Hi , thanks for the reply. > > Yes I have the dizziness also. I also feel woozy and just really ill. > I too can barely move when I get my period. > > Yes if more doctors took this seriously, people would not get so sick. > > It is good to know that I am not alone, but I am sorry you have this. >
Guest guest
Thanks . I am sorry your fatigue is so horrible. I have a really hard time in the morning also. I posted before that it feels like I am glued to the bed. I am also sorry the hysterectomy seems to have made it worse. Have you had your other hormone levels checked? I am very glad to have found this site!
Guest guest
Thanks Rosie. I always know when it is 4:00 without having to look at the clock. By tinies, do you mean children? It has to be hard caring for them when this hits. It seems everyone has a worsening of symptoms with their cycles. I guess because all the homrones are inter-related? I feel so guilty all the time. <proud> Fairly recent pics here: http://www.scat.demon.co.uk/Clementine/ Rosie/
Guest guest
I don't think my thyroid is optimal yet (my free Ts are on the low side), though I am much better than I used to be. Some days I actually feel really good, but then I get my hopes up, and a couple days later that fatigue and soreness comes back and ruins it all. What a life we lead huh? Carol > > Thanks Carol. Guest guest
Yes Carol, what a life! From my experience, it can take time to get the thyroid regulated. Sounds familiar eh? Everthing takes time! Here is hoping to more good days!
Guest guest
Hi Rosie. Your babies are beautiful! I love the photos The one where they are on the slide is really cool! Please do not feel guilty. It is not your fault you are not 100%. You will get there. When you do, you will make up for lost time.
