Ellen:

Thanks for all that you do and a Happpy New Year to you.

I couldn't find the post on what type of pacemaker you have and how

long have you had it? Could you please repeat it in your reply.

Thanks,

Isabelle

Good morning Isabelle:

Thank you and Happy New Year to you also. My Pacemaker is a Medtronic

Kappa DR 700 Series;and I've had it since July 2000. It's a dual

chamber pacemaker with two pacing leads, one in the atrium and one in

the ventricle. It has a sensor that detects changes in my activity

lvel and then adjusts myheart rate accordingly. My doctor can program

the sensor on or off depending on the pacing therapy most suitable for

my condition.

Ellen:

Thanks for your support and information. I feel much better today

and wonder whether I should go to Duke instead of having it done

here in land. I did read the posts you referred me to.....and

found them very helpful.... I am such a worrier....that it might

help me both emotionally and physically, if I went to the best.

Thanks again.

Isabelle
