Also keep in mind that adrenal extract cotains things other the just cortisol - adrenaline for one (how much, who knows), and perhaps precursor hormones or other steroids. I'd expect any enzymes to be destroyed either by the freeze drying or the stomach acids, but the steroids molecules might survive, as they aren't proteins and perhaps not as sensitive to destruction by acid or temperature extremes. IC and other extracts might also contain things that slow down absorption of cortisol, or block some of it - I don't know if things can bind or block absorbtion of cort like calcium and iron can with thyroid. Guest guest
I am also extremely sensitive to fillers in pills and wouldn't be able to take HC tablets. Just taking a paracetamol tablet or simple vitamin or antibiotic makes me sick very much in other ways.toxicity increase, head aches, runny nose, feeling depressed and confused, etc.depression and confusion is really the worst part of it. Also using natural extracts. bw Nil Re: the lowdown on isocort I have to disagree. I am ultra sensitive to all meds, and took HC at 5 mg and it was too much for my system to handle. I just started Isocort (with licorice) a week ago (literally started at 1/2 a pellet and now up to 3 pellets) and already feel a bit of a heart-pounding sometimes. Guest guest
Hi Metta, I used isocort,sub-adrene or biomax ace.I used latter two for couple of years than switched to isocort. I am at about 7 mg HC equivalent of these at this moment. One pallet is not really much. I don't think it would give any side effects if you need it.What is your stage? Are you sure you need it?Do you take it together with licorice? You might try to take them at different times. I really can not say much about heart pounding. I am quite ill and all kind of strange things happen to me lately so I don't wish to mislead you but I do not remember any heart pounding problem when I started extracts. bw Nil Re: the lowdown on isocort > > > I have to disagree.
