Hi Jeff,

I am in the process of appealing UHC. I also got the same type of denial for my claim. I'm working on my appeal with a attorney friend of mine, if we find any sort of loop hole, I will let you know. Best of luck

[sPAM]Re: Help!!! United Healthcare Denial

I am sorry to report that I received the same bad newsfrom UHC. I wrote a lengthy appeal letter, too, withscientific evidence, etc. and they still denied it. Igot so angry and frustrated with them. Fortunately,my husband switched jobs, and our new insurancecarrier covers the helmet. I know this doesn't helpyou any, but I truely do understand your frustration. We lost 2 precious months of banding due to waitingfor responses from them, just to get denied twice. Mysuggestion is if it is at all financially feasible, get the helmet now, and worry about the reimbursementlater. I know that others have fought UHC and havehad success. Hopefully they have some suggestions. Good luck. Mom to , 9.5 months, 1 week in Hanger helmet--- jrmcgrath71 <mcgrathjkfuse (DOT) net> wrote:> We received a denial from United Healthcare. Lorie,

I am in the same situation with United Healthcare. If you do hear of a

loophole I'd appreciate knowing about it as well.

Thank you!
