Guest guest
Yes. And, after a while -- that stiffness became just about permanent and then became pain in addition to stiffness. Being on enough Armour has helped loosen and abate the pain. I was beginning to think I had fibromyalgia at one point. > > If I get stressed at all I seem to feel a tightness in my neck. Guest guest
Thanks Kathleen. I wasn't sure if it was in my head or real. It seems the tight neck is sometimes my first indicator of stress and it can be the SLIGHTEST amount of stress. I don't seem to be experiencing the stiffness. I've just gotten a new Dr. and she's not tested the thyroid yet (co-ordination challenge with the lab), though we know from results of a previous dr's test that the adrenals are stressed. Just trying to figure a few things out while waiting in limbo. Thanks again for the feedback! Hope your pain and stiffness resolve in time! > > > > If I get stressed at all I seem to feel a tightness in my neck. Guest guest
It is much better now that I am just a tad over 3 grains -- but it took a long time to start to go away. Pain is almost gone but the stiffness remains. I am sure stretching, yoga, pilates and massage will help rid me of the residuals over time. Hope you get better, soon! > > Thanks Kathleen. Guest guest
I'm on 2 grains and dealing with some pretty consistent back pain. The stiff neck has been with me on and off for years along with other chronic joint and tendon pain. Did it resolve for you relatively quickly once you got to 3 grains or was it pretty gradual? Thanks, > > It is much better now that I am just a tad over 3 grains -- but it > took a long time to start to go away. Guest guest
- Where's your back pain? Is it localized in one spot (or originating from one spot?) > > > > It is much better now that I am just a tad over 3 grains -- but it > > took a long time to start to go away. Guest guest
My spine and the spaces in between - like t5 - t8. It's not disk - I know what that feels like as I have a slightly herniated disk at L5-S1 that has given me trouble on and off for years. This is inflammatory like pain that my chiro and massage therapist can appreciate upon physical exam. It tends to get worse when I sit leaning forward for any amount of time, or leaning over the sink doing dishes, for example. I also ache in my lower ribs and hips, mostly on right side. > > > > > > It is much better now that I am just a tad over 3 grains -- but it > > > took a long time to start to go away. Guest guest
Interesting. My mother has pain in her back and it sounds like it's close to yours. She too has trouble doing dishes and has to sit up straight any time she's seated. She will even add a pillow or rolled towel behind her back to make sure she's straight enough. She's tested positive for TPO and her thyroid seems pretty " normal " . Of course she's obviously not with the antibodies. I just had her run an adrenal panel/test last week so she'll have a little info for her new DR which is a DO. ---- Getting back to the back, it's interesting hers is close in proximity to yours (not on the spine, but just to the side and around T5. . . hmmmmm). > > > > > > > > It is much better now that I am just a tad over 3 grains -- but it > > > > took a long time to start to go away.
