Licorice Root

No, from what I know. Licorice root contains a chemical

(Glycyrrhizin) that shows down conversion of cortisol into cortisone,

thus extendind it's lifetime in the blood. But the same chemical

also can cause high blood pressure, so at least some say it should be

avoided if you have high blood pressure (although since sea salt

seems to be able to *lower* high blood pressure - " TAKE THAT, ANTI-

SALT PEOPLE! (and start doing studies on *why*..) I ran into a page

about the " harzards " of it (I think it was high BP) and that looked

like it explained it quite well and came to conclusion that it is

safe for something like 97% of the population.

Licorice root has no cortis in it, but it prevents the cortisl YOU have

in your body from breaking down as quickly, thuis extending the active

life of your own cortiosl.

Thanks for the info, really helpful. Had friend that eat licorice

alot and he lived alot longer than docs thought he could
