Guest guest
If this is happening a couple of hours after you take the HC, then I would bet it is caused from not enough HC. Your body uses up what you took and wants more. What were your coritsol levels? My advice would be if you start experiencing this a couple of hours after you have taken your cortisol, to try taking another 2.5mg and see if that helps. Are you taking thyorid? That could make it more complicated with the danger of having a thyroid dump. You might want to try adding in another 2.5mg at bedtime as well. Or you could try dosing 5-5-2.5 adn see how that goes. I don't want to tell you to go up too quickly though. Val what do you suggest? Rie A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Guest guest
Hi Shar and EveryOne, Glad you decided to " go public " :-)) you are not the only one this happens to and by asking your questions on the list and seeing the answers we all can benefit. I remember when I first started taking Armour I felt energy for the first time in years and so felt strong enough to feel angry. It takes energy to feel anger and sometimes with low thyroid and or low adrenals there just isn't the energy for it. While it is true that too much Cortisol or Armour can make you irritable it is also true that too little can do the same thing. Give yourself time to level off. Chances are once the pent up anger has been expressed you will be able to take the Cortisol and or Armour without that problem. It may be a good thing:-)) Things are not always what they seem. Guest guest
DHEA made me very angry but I was 25mg which was too much. 5mg did not have the same effect. --- In NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS , " yoganandaom " i have had these same side effects when i > > tried pregnenolone and DHEA so i am certain it can all be related > > whatever it is doing to cause me to feel this way. i'm only taking 5- > > 2.5-2.5 a day now which i would think is relatively a small dose and > > shouldn't cause this. Guest guest
I also so feel more aggressive on Cortisol SR. I am at 5-5-2.5-2.5. has anyone else experienced this while taking HC? hi all...this is pretty embarrassing and scary for me so at first i just wrote val privately but realize i have to stretch my neck out and be brave sharing...afterall that's the point of the group right? so as awkward as it is, my question has to do with aggressive feelings and HC. i switched from the IC to HC just recently and can already tell a difference on several levels with being more alert, more awake, more energetic and that the armour effects seem to be kicking in even more. on the one hand i love this (and btw NEED THIS as my cortisol levels were flatlined) but on the other hand i have been so incredibly and uncontrollably angry, feeling aggressive, irritable and impulsive it's actually SCARING me. i have had these same side effects when i tried pregnenolone and DHEA so i am certain it can all be related whatever it is doing to cause me to feel this way. i'm only taking 5- 2.5-2.5 a day now which i would think is relatively a small dose and shouldn't cause this. like i said i'm feeling the benefits so much more than IC yet the negatives are SO bad they are scaring me how angry/aggressive i've been. has anyone else ever experienced this? do you have any suggestions? maybe i'm too sensitive to it and only need a tiny dose even though my cortisol levels were flatlined? should i continue it on a lower dose or go back to IC or use HC cream even? anything you could suggest would really help and explanations as to why the HC is making me feel this way too i would. thank you so much for all your help...these feeling are petrifiying me!
