Guest guest
Hi, I suspect that my son has a grow span these few days. His DOC band seem very tight now, I can't even shift or move the band while it is on his head. But, all his red spots (he has two) fade within one hour. And he sweats a lot more than usual too. Should I be concern ? He just had an adjustment last monday. He did become more fussy for the pass two days, and seem to be not sleeping well. Should I call CT ? Thank you for your advise. Guest guest
I would call and go in for a check. I was told by my CT tech Pervi in the NJ office that if you can fit even a half a finger into the helmet in the back top than it is fine. I went every week at first for fittings with my son he was very young when we began. (4 months) then we worked our way to every 10-12 days or so. You may need to go more frequently but dont freak out it is fine if you can even get a little finger in there. Guest guest
Hi, We did call CT and went for a check-up this afternoon. Hurray for grow-span.... His head 'fill up' the DOC band. And now, the ortho says that he might out-grow the band in four more weeks !!! Hee hee we really did not expect to hear that, since his grow has been slow... peishan ( - Brachy - DOC Band week 7) Hi, > > I suspect that my son has a grow span these few days. Guest guest
When id doubt - ALWAYS call the ortho. Snug is ok - especially if there are no red marks - But if it is sqeezing then that is not good. Call the ortho - It will make you feel better!!!
