Jessie,

Thank you for the recent post about staying with liquids. I have so far managed

to do that, I think!

I have taken frozen fruit like berries, (no sugar added) and added some to a

protein drink, blended it well, and chewed any small pieces remaining....do you

think that is OK?

Also, I noticed you mentioned to Sharon and soups with milk such as

chowder...Is lactose based stuff ok, or did I misunderstand Dr. Fox? Perhaps I

am confusing the " no lactose " admonition with those having gastric bypass...due

to the gas and discomfort they would experience? I hope because I miss my 1%

milk. I have stayed away from that however. By the way, could one blend clam

chowder in the blender until very smooth and be ok with the solids that way?

I am pleased and loosing. It looks like maybe 12 pounds now for me. I seem to

have slowed, but am assuming it is because at 5'10 " and 274 my body mass index

was actually below 40, and so weight loss is not as great at first as say maybe

those with higher BMI's.

Blood sugars have been good....highest so far was 137 without medications! Down

from 12 or more daily to 3, but of course am adding the vitamins and tums.

Thanks to all. This info is all so helpful!

Fondly,

Deb
