Guest guest
Hi, I know how you feel. My son has severe brachy too. After 11 weeks in band, it correct from 96.2 to 93.6 only. I really am suprised by the measurement this morning at CT, husband and I both thought that his head look good. Anyway, time will does quite a bit of correction, I think. My friend's son has severe brachy too(CI = 101). But they choose not to band. The boy is 3.5 year old now. To me, his head seem fine, a bit lengthen, and a bit wide, but definitely look less severe than my son now. Unfortunately, they does not go for measurement after the first dignosed when the boy was 4 month old. So, I have no idea what his measurement is now. Besides feeling good about our son head shape, this boy's head shape help us to make the decision not to do second band. From what I manage to learn from her (my friend), they only just try their best to make sure that the boy will not rest his head flat on the back. That is not always what they can do, as you know how mobile a kid can be. Plus, massage the boy head for about 5mins every morning and evening. Hope this help. > > My DS started off at like 13mm cranial vault assymetery and 96.4 > brachy. After 3 helmets he was down to 5mm assymetry and unfortunately > the brachy only got to 89.7. Guest guest
My daughter had severe brachy and went from around 98% to 86%. she graduated at age 10 mo with some flat area at the top, and slight " corners " . At 14 mo we went for a follow up and her measurements were about the same. Her head had grown, but not improved (growth was distributed, rather in the back, so numbers didn't improve). Now at 2 yrs 3 mo I would say her head is about the same. I don't have any measurments, but I still the imperfections when I shampoo her head. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > > > My DS started off at like 13mm cranial vault assymetery and 96.4 > > brachy.
