Guest guest
I have never had high ferritin levels, but I know they can be lowered easily by donating blood. But DO double-check the test - ferritin can be falsely elevated by inflammation - wait 2 weeks and test again. If ferritin is still too high, and other iron labs are still too high, this needs to be investigated further. High iron is not common but if present does need to be addressed. Two things to consider: You need to avoid iron supplements for 5 days before iron tests, otherwise you may get a false-high result. I do not know how high a " high ferritin " you are referring too. It has to be over 200 to adversely affect health: http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/177216-diagnosis > > Has anyone here had high ferritin and high iron levels? How has that interfered with your T3 dosing, temperatures and adrenals? > > I'm wondering if it could be the cause of unstable temperatures, or could cause temporary pooling of T3 followed by breakthroughs for a 1-2 day temp spike. > > Sherry >
