My son wore the Doc Band from 14mo-18mo and got pretty good results

considering his late age. I think at the age of your son you should

see really good results. If you are interested in seeing my son's

pics they are under the " C " Pics under C.J. P.Study 1 & P. Study 2,

before and after photos that C.T. took.

Best of luck 2 you!

We banded at 18.5 months (a lot older than your son even). Happy to

report, my son graduated today (he's 22.5 months) and they saw as

just about as much improvement as they see in younger babies. We are

thrilled.

My son got his DocBand at 17 months old and has been wearing it for 6

weeks. There is definite improvement in his flat spot, and the ortho

says he sees improvement in his forehead bossing, but I'm still

skeptical about that. It's my biggest area of concern and I am super

critical about it. And it's been really frustrating that at certain

angles, it looks like it is improving, but then I'll look at it again,

and don't think it's improved at all. I'm hoping it's just my eyes

playing tricks on me! In any case, I'm thrilled that we've had the

opportunity to band, even though it is at this late stage. I would

totally recommend it to anyone who was in a similar situation, and we

haven't even completed treatment yet! I think you will be very happy

you banded!

Good luck!

Hi ,

do you take pics of your son's head? I took them every 2 weeks and it

helped me to see improvement for myself. My memory is not good, and I

too became super critical. Also different areas improve at different

rates. My daughter had brachy and she is still flat in the upper/back

part of her head - I think she always will be. However she got very

good results overall.

Hi -

Yes, I am taking pictures every couple of weeks. It's just sometimes

hard to get the exact same angle every time. If his head is tilted

down even just a little, his bulge looks worse, so if I catch a

glimpse of him with his head tilted backwards just so, it looks like

it's improving. But then I see it again, tilted down, and I'm bummed

out that it really isn't. I think it's just an extra slow process

because of his age, and I think that photos are great for charting

the whole process, but I think the final before and after photostudy

from CT will really show what improvement has occurred. And

hopefully it will be a lot! Again, he's only been in it 6 weeks and

we still have 10 to go (or so), but the 6 have gone by so quickly,

I'm getting a little worried that it will be over before we know it

with not a lot to show for it. But I'm trying to stay optomistic,

and he's been growing out of a few items of clothing, so I'm hoping

that's a good sign of a pending growth spurt. We shall see!

Thanks!
