Guest guest
I also too my son to Cranial Technologies. He had left side plagio. He woe the band for 12 weeks and now has a beautiful round head. A lot of our decision to band Spencer was the long term effects. Spencer's eyes weren't even along with his ears. If we didn't band it would continue to get worse and could cause severe sinus and jaw problems. I also got the Cranial Tech packet, if you have the same packet that I have look through the paper called "THE INSURANCE GAME" There are a lot of different articles in here that could probably help you out. You can also on the American Pediatrics website. Here are some other websites that could be helpful. Best of Luck. My son is four months old and just had his first appt. yesterday atCranial Technologies. He needs the docband and I'm very content withthe decision. Ever since my ped first mentioned it, I've beenresearching and such and feel very confident that it's the bestdecision for my son. Yesterday at the clinic, they gave me a folder with two articles andsome other information. I came home and talked to my husband aboutour appt and the need for the docband. He was very supportive andeven joked about decorating the band certain ways. Later in thenight, he read the articles that were in the folder and now he'shaving different thoughts. He thinks it's purely a cosmetic issue. The articles mentioned thatthere is NO proven evidence that if untreated it will cause problemslater on. Personally, I think that the chance is enough to treat itnow and prevent that from even being ap ossibility. I'm just having avery tough time. Instead of getting the support I need, we're tornand I'm going to be going through a huge ordeal all alone. Please, help me find some research or something that can educate myhusband. I've searched the internet, but really haven't foundanything about specific studies, or instances where the plagio wasn'ttreated and what happened etc. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
