Guest guest
TSH 1.67 (.450-4.5) Total T3 98 (76-181) Total T4 12.6 (4.5-12.5) Oh yeah, these labs SCREAM RT3. T4 shoudl NEVER be over mid-range, and wiht his T3 near the bottom of range wiht T4 that high he is certainly not converting to T3 properly. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
Guest guest
Thank you , thank you...That's sort of what I thought. Now if he gets his ferritin tested and by chance it is normal, would getting the Vit D up help correct things or is this something that only T3 will help? I will relay your comments and try to get him and try to get him on the right path. Guest guest
It is hard to say if the problem started with just too high levels of T4 maybe and that is one BIG maybe, he can just reduce T4, but I htink at the very least he needs ot add t3 to his treatment. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
Guest guest
I have a similar problem with T4 above the lab level and lower T3, but I'm on a beta blocker. I believe it was you Val who told me that the beta blocker will prevent the T4 from converting properly. I'm waiting to see a new doctor who will understand this process. Question- could taking a beta blocker possibly have made me hypo in the first place? Thanks,Liz R Re: Val or Nick---my Brother's labsTo: RT3_T3 > It is hard to say if the problem started with just too high > levels of T4 > maybe and that is one BIG maybe, he can just reduce T4, but I > htink at > the very least he needs ot add t3 to his treatment.> > -- > > > http://nthadrenalsweb.org/> > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/> > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/> http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/> > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/> http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/> >
Guest guest
It would not cause low T4 but it could cause hypo through too much RT3 and lowering T3. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
Guest guest
Val, I'm not aware of him taking beta blockers. He did tell me he is taking Crestor. Would this cause any problems??? Guest guest
Sorry, i'm confused - are you answering the beta blocker question?Liz R.--> It would not cause low T4 but it could cause hypo through too > much RT3 > and lowering T3.> > -- > > >
Guest guest
http://doublecheckmd.com/EffectsDetail.do?dname=Crestor & sid=46321 & eid=1565 Seems that it could. If he gets his THYROID right he won't need that nasty drug! Krill oil is also good for lowering bad cholesterole and building the good and losering triglycerides as well. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
