Guest guest
Margery, thanks..can you elaborate? I have had B12 results (actually high on several measures that would indicate a polycythemia vera) at both ends of the scale..I think my last assessment was below the 500 " ideal " cited by the " Could It Be B12 " author. IOW, serum B12 hasn't made a difference...still have had high H/H with low or low normal ferritin. Angie > > > > Hey Val: > > Sorry to unearth this old thread, but I have been off-line with resp infection and pneumonia!!! (could also have contributed to my RT3 of 261). I have not trimmed this post deliberately so as to refresh/bump. I have ordered the Bluebonnet from Amazon, but if memory serves me correctly, it is 27 mg..Are you saying milligrams? or micrograms? If milligrams, that would be 8 tabs daily? > > Thx for clearing this up. > > > > Also, I am still unsure about what to do with elevated hemoglobin/hematocrit levels even with low ferritin. I have a doc that is willing to try to let me attempt upping ferritin and phlebotomy if H/H further elevate..Does this make sense to you? > > > > Angie > >
Guest guest
Am taking " Country Life " 18 mg daily (can't remember the form, it's an older supplement) right now until my BlueBonnet arrives....can't be sure it's related, but getting a little irritable/agitated (again, could have secondary polycythemia)on..does the form seem to make a lot of difference? has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? > > They shoudl be an hour after thyroid meds or four hours befoer and > twice a day is best.
