Guest guest
Hello: My son has had his helmet (STARband) for one week and 2 days. He is 5 1/2 months. We went in for an adjustment because of a red spot on his head that was not getting better. When the nurse removed his helmet, there was visible improvement. He still has the flat spot, but the back of his head is starting to round out! Wow, I was so impressed. I was really on the fence about having him banded, but I'm so glad that we decided to do it. We had been repositioning him for about two months with no real success. Our pediatrician was completely opposed to banding, but I scheduled a second opinion with a pedi-neurologist who thought other wise! On a completely separate note... does the sweating get better? We live in Boston and its still on the cold side. I've been dressing him in lighter clothing, but the sweating is out of control. Please tell me this gets better? Any suggestions? The band has not started to smell..but I'm sure with the spring time..I'm in trouble! ~
Guest guest
Most moms will say the sweating does get better; however, I think every kiddo is different. My little guy sweated the entire time banded! We live in Phx, AZ and he was banded Feb.-April. Glad to hear that you are seeing results. If the head does start to smell, we liked the J & J lavendar scented body wash or the J & J soothing naturals body wash. Also, I used the 91% alcohol for cleaning the band. > > Hello: > > My son has had his helmet (STARband) for one week and 2 days. He is 5 > 1/2 months.
