Hello, everyone

My recent labs are:

Ferritin 99

Iron 111 (35-171)

TIBC 330 (221-481)

Iron Sat. 34 (22-44%)

Previous ferritin levels were:

Nov - 32

Feb - 46

May - 99

Is it possible for the ferritin level to have raised to 99 without it being a

false high? What would cause it to increase this high (not that I am

complaining, if it is good to be this high.) I did not have any iron pills at

least a week prior to testing. My previous iron panel is similar to these new

numbers, with the exception of the ferritin level.

Only things I have introduced into my diet since the lab testing in February

were eating gluten free, Rhodiola, PS, Melatonin. Could these things have

caused the increase?

Is it possible that introducing the above will reduce my RT3? (doctor refuses

to give me T3 only and unable to find anyone who even KNOWS of RT3. (I thought

RT3 was in the realm of endocrinology....)

thanks

It i sunlikely thta this is a true leel. Ferritin can be raised from any

illness even a cold or allergies, and any inflammation in your body

which is why I ask for a full iron panel to knwo for sure. Your iron is

not horrible but as the 5Sat is under 35% I would say oyu need mor iron

still.
