Guest guest
Hi Kate, I have been away fron this group for a long time. But J. is brilliant and I believe he is correct with the High RT3 and Mercury. Look up a man named Cutler. He is the most knowlegable on Mercury toxiciy in adults and the right and only way to detox mercury without hurting yourself. > > > I've recently found two different holistic MDs who will work with me on reducing my RT3 using T3. But when I interviewed them, I was surprised to find they both emphasized toxic metals, especially mercury, as often the hidden and real underlying cause of high RT3--- apparently, this comes from some research Dr. has done. > > I was tested 5 years ago (DMSA urine challenge), and had no toxic metal problem then, but of course they both want a re-test, and then you have to be on their chelation protocol for who knows how long. $$$ and more $$$$ > > I am feeling very skeptical as I have never heard of anyone here needing or dealing particularly with toxic metals in regards to reducing their high RT3. But I want to stay open-minded. > > Any comments? > > Thanks, Kate >
Guest guest
" Dieting is a strong trigger for RT3 " If a person were already making enough T4, stopped dieting and took milk thistle or something to gently cleanse the liver, would that help with getting the RT3 ratios down rather than having to go on T3? Since RT3 is made in the liver shouldn't this help? > > > > >I have high RT3, which I thought was brought on mostly by dieting and my low ferritin.
