Hello. I'm new. I thought I posted here yesterday, but haven't seen my message

so will try again. I belonged to another group with you several years ago Val.

I'm 50 and I went through menopause two years ago because of having one ovary

removed. I had 3/4 of my thyroid removed 28 years ago, but tsh has always came

back within range. Doc put me on synthroid about 1 1/2 years ago. I started

going to a doctor that deals with female hormones and bioidentical because I

have had severe migraines for about a year and a half (before I started the

synthroid). The current doctor had a battery of tests run including saliva. My

progesterone is low, cortisone high especially at night and my tsh is 1.8, T3

and T4 within range, but reverse T3 is 684, which is the highest she's ever

seen. I feel like crap. I started progesterone SR 100 mgs yesterday from a

compounding pharmacy yesterday and she had me start taking selenium and zinc and

a very high fiber diet, no sugar, no caffeine, no gluten, no dairy, no alcohol

and no red meat. She is having me continue with the Armour.

My question is should I come off the Armour until I feel better since my TSH is

okay anyway.

And two does biodentical progesterone cause weight gain. I've gained 28 lbs. in

a year and a half and dont' want to gain anymore!

thanks.

Robyn
