Guest guest
Thanks to all who replied - I've revisited the treadmill and I'm avoiding the sweets. I guess we all need a little prodding once in a while. " Barton K. Hawkins " wrote: Enjoy that walk .....good for body, mind, and soul. Get some rest afterward....a little pampering is always a good thing! Cheers, Bart Latest Labs Hi All: Had another neph appointment yesterday, and the results are still good. My creatinine is 1.4 (so no big change from 1.3, and I've been floating between these two), and most of my other labs were good. The only 'bad' reading was that my triglycerides were a little high (213), so I'm cutting back on sweats a bit. But my BP there was a little higher than at home, and my urine dip came back with trace blood (my neph is not worried - she says remember I still have 2 kidneys in there that still work a little, so maybe this urine had some of their output). I may be raising my enalapril to 10mg in the AM, and then checking my evening BP to see if I need my norvasc. But of course, this AM my BP before meds was 122/73, so I don't know what to think. And then I have also been slacking on the treadmill, so my resting pulse was a little higher than she likes (shame on me - slap on the wrist).... I think I'll go walk outside tonight.... --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - Helps protect you from nasty viruses. Guest guest
Hi I wonder if somebody could consider my results – Ferritin 68 up from 48 in February, the highest I have ever had it Cholesterol dropped from 6.2 in November to 4.6 now TSH -<0.05 Free T4 – 8 (9-19) Free T3 – 6.7 (2.6-5.7) I am surprised about the T4 because it was 8 when I wasn't on any T4 in February so taking 1 grain hasn't raised it. I have been taking 1 grain ERFA and 42.5 T3 since 4 March, previously it was ½ grain from 24 Feb. I have been having some raised heartbeats recently and have needed to take a low dose betablocker to calm it down on some days. My temperature on waking has risen from 36.0 to 36.3 and that's the highest it ever goes. My daytime temperature hasn't risen, often just below 36.3 sometimes as high at 36.6 but never stays there for anytime. I was thinking about reducing the T3 a little to try and stop the raised hearbeats. My adrenals are still reliant on the 5mg Pred and 5mg h/c daily but cannot tolerate anymore. When I crashed last October I couldn't tolerate any thyroid meds at all for nearly 2 months so obviously I don't want that to happen again. I feel that I probably have something else wrong with me because my diagnosis is ME/CFS and recently have been tested to see if I have the new retrovirus XMRV but no results for a while. My immune system is still very weak with frequent throat infections. Generally my energy is better but still cannot walk for longer than 20 minutes before the energy runs out. However when I rest the energy does come back sometimes but not always. I still have post exertional malaise/fatigue. Do you think it is worthwhile trying anything else such as go to 1 ½ grains first thing in the morning then say 12.5 lunchtime and 6.pm? I definitely had slightly stronger muscles with the 1 grain than with T3 only. Thanks Pam
