Are you sure its not the opposite? Normally low sodium gives fast pulse and it drops after a glass of sea salted water. If your pulse is that low you are probably very hypo and that's over riding the effect of the sodium. If you are very fit and a trained athlete then a pulse of 50 is normal, for most of us it's not Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
Guest guest
OKay, last yr when I was in the ER..my heart was squeezing and I had high pulse..my blood work showed low potassium, and a lowish sodium. Could high pulse be low potassium? Usually I have low sodium, and feel dizzy faint and no oxygen. I thought salt was supposed to help. Very confusing. The heart squeezing feeling is usually helped also by iron. ( within 4 days I feel a difference)>>I have read this several times. But my pulse is low upper 50's last doc appointment. Guest guest
Nick and all who made comments, thanks. Thanks for posting the range. That is the kind of info I need for my doctor apt. Please tell me a tentative schedule to getting to that goal. I found out right away that 5 was not enough but did not go back to the doctor so that I could gather information. Ferritin, I doubt that I have had all the related test done but for the ones I was everything was still unchanged and "in range" whatever that means. Is your Dr planning an increase? Most people on T3 end up needing 75 to 125 a day to feel best. http://thyroid-rt3.com/dosing.htm Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com

High pulse is more often low sodium Low potassium can cause palps and various other odd things >Usually I have low sodium, and feel dizzy faint and no oxygen. I thought salt was supposed to help. Salt raises sodium, if you were low pulse will drop within an hour or so, sometimes quite dramatically Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
