The measures other than ferritin (total iron binding capacity, serum iron, etc.) might provide useful info on your iron status. Yes, ferritin test results can be falsely elevated by inflammation or other causes. It is always useful to re-test to double check a high ferritin result. Many of us also have low vitamin b12, if it were me I'd have my b12 tested, as well.
