Guest guest
Hi I think your FT3/RT3 ratio is 2700/261 = 10.3 And it should be above 20 to feel well. Low ferritin levels causes RT3 so I would think your low ferritin levels and this bad RT3 ratio will be making you feel pretty rubbish Lets see what the others have to say about your adrenals Good luck Josie TSH 1.130 range 0.450-4.500reverse t3 261 range 90-350tbo 17 range 0-34ferritin 40 13-150free t3- 2.7 range 1.2-4.9free t4 - 2.7 range 2.0-4.4total t 4 - 9.0 range 4.5-12.0 Get a new e-mail account with Hotmail – Free. Guest guest
I would agree with Josie. My RT3 ratio is 10, and I'm feeling pretty much the same way that you describe. extreme fatigue, foggy thinking, dizzy/vertigo, just horrible. the worst for me is that i'm currently single, have no family to speak of, and i run my own business (or i should say "barely run" at this point). needless to say, things have been spiraling downward. :-( i was taking T3 only but could not tolerate so cut that out. have been trying to get ferritin up over past two years with not too much luck. recently added lactoferrin to hopefully help with absorption. i'm seeing a new ND on Monday, and a Bioenergetic MD on Friday, and hoping I will get something useful from one of these. Hang in there! nervx Subject: RE: I need help, not feeling well! Guest guest
Your cortisol is very high. Are you taking anything for it? HC or Isocort? Are you supplementing salt at all? I felt HORRIBLE before I started supplementing salt. Anyother symptoms? Kitty To: RT3_T3 Sent: Sat, May 15, 2010 2:57:46 PMSubject: I need help, not feeling well! Guest guest
Yes adrenal glands are fine I had a cat scan, no tumors. A friend of mine said maybe it can be Lyme disease. I was tested for it last year and was negative, but I hear most tests do come out negative. I do live in tick country though, and have been bit multiple times.Sent from my iPad Have you been to a doctor? I think adrenal tumors can cause high cortisol but leave you 'looking' normal. Guest guest
Lyme disease can be really tricky I have not had it fortunately but do know there are quite a few tests that can be run. I have also heard that EBV can wreak havoc on the cortisol output. I know I have that! Happy to hear scans were negative The bad thing about lyme ticks is you can't see them. They are very small and not everyone is able to catch the 'bulls eye' rash depending on where they are bit Kitty To: "RT3_T3 " <RT3_T3 >Sent: Sat, May 15, 2010 9:31:20 PMSubject: Re: Re: I need help, not feeling well!
