YES in serulm the RT3 levels fall VERY fast in 4-5 weks can actuall ybe

below range from over range, BUT it is what is stuckinthe receptors that

we need to clear and that takes 12 weeks sometimes a tad longer.

so is there any value in measuring the RT3 when on T3 meds unless it has been 12 weeks??

mine went the other way (low to high) in 2 weeks?

Lately I have been tired - dragging - I had a few weeks of lightheadedness and

vertigo, but that seems to have resolved, for now.. I was diagnosed with

Menierre's - long before thyroid and adrenal issues " surfaced " ...

My doc has not recommended T3 only. I did ask at one point. I will chek in

with the new numbers and we shall see...He is of the mind that iodine will help

clear the rT3. But he has me taking micrograms. I am goingto start adding mg

of iodine (Iodine Protocol)

Could these numbers indicate a THAA (hormone antibodies) issue? Is the fT3

pooling because of the rT3? What about the rest of the numbers?

Any and all input totally appreciated. Thanks,. j

RT3 falls when we take T3 only as it lowers TSH and we stoip producing

T4. T4 is the ONLY thing that makes RT3. Iodine raises TSH adn causes

the thyroi dto be stimulated tyo maKE MORE t4. why WOULD YOU TAKE THAT

WHEN TRYIGN TO REDUCE RT3?

Hey Ms Val,

Why am I taking iodine? Because that is how this doctor thinks? He does lots

of stuff differently. I didn't realize the iodine was for the reverse T3 until

last week. I will again approach the T3 only protocol.

arrrrgh.

He saw my last week's results.. the rT3 of 32. He hasn't seen the new rT3 of 49

yet.

So, with the high fT3, am I pooling maybe due to adrenals or something else I

have yet to uncover? I certainly don't want to hear again from a doctor: oh..

high fT3, high rT3, you're taking too much thyroid hormone and we need to

reduce, when I still feel tired..

Thanks loads again.. and again.. j

Not a lot, if you are on at least 50 of T3 and no T4 meds then you

will be suppressing your own T4 production and you cannot make more

RT3 (it has to have T4 to be made)

With no more being made it has to sink as it's excreted/breaks down
