Guest guest
Hi - It definitely wouldn't hurt to get an eval from a PT. If your daughter has tort, it should be treated sooner rather than later (from what I've heard, the older they are, the longer it could take to treat). My son was in PT for 2 months, from 2.5-4.5 months old. I believe that PT was extremely important in correcting his tort, I don't think it would have corrected on its own with basic repositioning. He didn't like the exercises very much at first because his neck was obviously tight, but he got used to them eventually and it wasn't so bad. In the end, it was the best thing I could have done for him, so that little bit of guilt I felt at making him cry was well worth it. Hope that helps. Good luck! Guest guest
Thanks! I think I will see a PT for a second opinion before I do those exercises with her for a year! > > OK - first a confession - we were not the best parents > about doing > > exercises because 1) she resisted so much and 2) after she started > > sitting up, she slept turning on both left and right sides. > > > > That said - her head is great but now I'm noticing we still have a > > right tilt. > > > > I've noticed some of you saw a PT for tort and I'm wondering if we > > should get an evaluation.
