Guest guest
Val or Nick, You have said that T4 levels above a certain amount indicate RT3, but I can't find that figure anywhere. Could you remind me? .... A suggestion that you put that figure on the files (in the file section) which shows you how to calculate RT3. That would help us a lot. Thanks, Sandi
Guest guest
Sandibos, I'm a newbie, but I was told you divide the rt3 number into the ft3 number to get your ratio. Like my rt3 is 27 (11-32 range), and my ft3 is 291 (230-420 pg/dl range). Dividing the 27 into the 291 comes out to be 10.78, which is too low on the ft3. (Is that correct, experts)? My doctor says I'm reversing, and took me off of my 1/2 gr Naturethroid over two weeks ago. Can wait until it clears. She wants to put me on t3 only meds after some of my symptoms clear out, but I'm thinking that the low t3 may be what is causing my main symptoms of shortness of breath and fatigue. (Very hard to get goin in the mornings, and I get a burst of energy for some reason after I eat my evening meal). Guest guest
Thanks for your reply, but I didn't mean the ratio. The FT4 level is what I was looking for. Val says that if you have an FT4 level above a certain number you should be suspicious of RT3. Just can't remember the number... > > > > Subject: T4 level indicates RT3 > To: RT3_T3 > Date: Friday, May 28, 2010, 1:53 PM > > > Â > > > > Val or Nick, > > You have said that T4 levels above a certain amount indicate RT3, but I can't find that figure anywhere.
