Guest guest
Have you had adrenals tested? That would be my next suggestoion as I do not think this is an iron issue. > > Hello All, > I'm new to this group and need some advice as how to proceed. > I've been hypothyroid for a long time but never able to tolerate thyroid meds without going hyper and getting up high enough to relieve hypo symptoms. Guest guest
Hi , Yes I've had adrenals tested 2 years ago and been HC for 2 years and felt like they were pretty stabilized. I've started logging my temps just to see if I'm on enough HC and possibly this was it. Before starting T3 I felt like my adrenals were much better because I don't have nearly the adreanl symptoms I used too. I'm on 22.5mg maybe JUST maybe this is not enough to take the T3 high enough. Last year labs were the following: RT3 143 90-350 FT3 2.9 2.3-4.2 Is this ratio 20 or.02? I get .02 not sure what is correct. Thank you for all your help. I don't know where to turn to get myself feeling better. Guest guest
Hi , Thank you for the consultations. I realized I was having low cortisol symptoms started to increase HC - as soon as I stress dosed for 2 days symptoms subsided. Now hyper symptoms are back. I tried to increase from 40mcg of Time Released T3 to 50mcg. OR maybe I still have too much HC in my system from stress dosing. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? I'm continuing to log my temps. Question: do these labs indicate Rt3 problem RT3 143 pg/ml 90-350 FT3 3.0 pg/ml 2.3-4.2 these were taken in 2008 before starting HC and 2 months after stopping all thyroid meds. I'm having RT3 and FT3 done tomorrow. When I'm low on cortisol I have bad dreams but since stress dosing all my symptoms relieved except the bad dreams can too much cortisol or thyroid meds cause bad dreams? Thank you Sage > > > > > > Hello All, > > > I'm new to this group and need some advice as how to proceed. > > > I've been hypothyroid for a long time but never able to tolerate thyroid meds without going hyper and getting up high enough to relieve hypo symptoms. Guest guest
You r ratio at that time was 10.98 so borderline. It does not take much by way of misdosing wiht HC or going too low in cortils to push that down further so you were building an RT3 issue even then. I would go bakc to old T3 dosing and hold for a week while graphing temps. It is good to always wait a week between cortiosl changes adn raising T3, > > > > > > > > Hello All, > > > > I'm new to this group and need some advice as how to proceed. > > > > I've been hypothyroid for a long time but never able to tolerate thyroid meds without going hyper and getting up high enough to relieve hypo symptoms.
