Vegetable broth.

BTW, TECHNICALLY if you cook the potatoes in with the rest of the soup, some

of the potato starch will enter the broth of the soup so you shouldn't just

pluck out the non-SBD items and give the rest to your family. The

potatoes really aren't all that important if you ask me -- I've made plenty

of soups without 'em. In fact, I'd add some cauliflower to this recipe and

omit the potatoes if I were you. (That's what I'll be doing when I make it

this weekend.)

Try that minestrone soup recipe I posted last week too -- it's fantastic!
