Guest guest
He had testicular cancer in 1996 where they removed one but never offered him any hormone replacement. He had a period of acting very 'feminine' major muscle mass loss, depression, fatigue, etc. So I think he was always low testosterone. Over the last few years he has weight gain, more muscle loss, decreased libido, lack of motivation/depression, insomnia, joint pain, hair loss, long list! Did the Canary Club panel and found out he has minor adrenal fatigue, hypothyroid <hashi's> and low testosterone. We are up to 2grains of Thyroid-s, isocort 4 in am and 3 lunch time, PS and zinc 2 hours before bed and melatonin and b12 at bed. He feels so much better already! More energy, happier, now if his hair would grow back and he lost 30lb there would be no talking to him! kitty To: RT3_T3 Sent: Fri, June 4, 2010 4:29:56 PMSubject: Re: Weight and thyroid What symptoms did your boyfriend have? I guess we're getting off topic here.....did he have a "weight" gaining or losing issue, too? Have you had cortisol testing? Ferritin? Vit D, Vit B12? Are you on T3 only? For the past few years with the high stress and hypo symptoms, I have gained weight in the middle.....feeling a little pudgy and about 20 lbs overweight for my height and all. But when I crashed in March, I lost like 15 lbs. really quickly. I'm sure part of it is because I stopped eating bread, sugar, gluten, white rice, potatoes, etc. But I just wondered if anyone else LOST weight instead of gained. Because I still have the hypo symptoms, but have had a lot of adrenal issues in the past as well. My feet are always freezing, I'm exhausted, I have air hunger, hard to keep my eyes open, my heels are dry and cracking, I am very sensitive to heat AND cold, I have brain fog and am lethargic. (My reverse ratio is 10.78). What does this sound like to anyone, please? I also experience periods of hair loss, and my nails are bad.
