Kathleen, was your shortness of breath ongoing, like you just couldn't get to the bottom of your lungs breathing? Makes me want to yawn a lot? More like what they call air hunger? Someone said it could be Lyme's, and that scares me! It's like I'm just tired, and my lungs won't breathe right. It gets better for me usually when I lie down, relax and take my sleeping aid. It comes back when I get up in the a.m. And it is constant, though the hc relieves it some. It is, indeed, very scary, and limits what I do. I need all the info. I can get! How long did yours last?

Thanks!

Believe me, it goes away. The worst I had it was last Fall when a doctor put me on Iodoral (and no thyroid meds.) It was REALLY bad then, likely as I went even more hypo from the iodine. Couldn't breathe just going up our stairs (and we live in high altitude which doesn't help.) And then, as I got t3 and slowly raised it, it just disappeared. Seriously, I don't even remember when it left. I just realize that I haven't experienced it for a LONG time. I've been on t3 only since about December.Kathleen> > > > Subject: Re: Does Anyone Else Have Shortness of Breath with Their Hypo Besides Me?> To: RT3_T3 > Date: Saturday, June 5, 2010, 6:54 PM> > > Â

DEFINITELY I had it bad when my t3 was too low BUT I also remember getting it once when I was weaning down on HC (down to too low a dose per my stupid doc). Maybe the too low HC wasn't allowing the t3 into the cells?? Not sure.> > It DID go away once I upped the t3. AM> > Subject: Does Anyone Else Have Shortness of Breath with Their Hypo Besides Me?> > > >  > > I guess I feel like the Lone Ranger, because noone else talks about the air hunger symptom, and that is driving me nuts. It starts first in the a.m., and gets a little better when I take my HC, then worse as the dose wears off.....it seems to get better at night after I eat dinner. Last night, I loaded up on my Bluebonnet Iron and took 4 27 mg caps. I really seemed to get a boost last night and was talking and enjoying my husband more than I have in a while. Was hoping I'd wake up and it would be better, too, but guess it wore off. Will getting on the Cytomel and clearing the reverse finally give me some headway on this?> >>
