What type of helmet does Conner have?

Ok. So my son Connor Is already 5 months. Two weeks ago we had to get a new casting of his helmet because the first one was just not working. We started wearing it and it was to close to his eye and two tight in the wrong places. Then I think they shaved to much of it off and it was then slipping off his forhead. Well they told my one week I should get my new one. Well it has been two. I feel that he is going though a growth spirt so I want it now. This has been so frusterating for me. I just want to get this going. I feel like his face is getting worse.Also my three year old has a flat spot in the same place my 5 month old does. He never had tort. But I think if he was a half a pound bigger like connor then he would have. But my point it. Kaden my 3 year old ped. Kinda blew it off like nothing and said it will fix it self. Wrong!! He has a really bad cross bite. Now Me learning all this stuff about Connor I have come to Realize that Kaden's cross bite is due to his flat spot. So how do I fix it at this age? Has anyone else been though this? I am doing sacral cranial therapy for Connor for his tort and plagio. They said it might help Kaden if he lets them touch him. Please give me your opinons. I was just going to wait untill Kaden got older and do like head gear or something. I will put some pictures up in the K folder.

Hi, i cannot offer any advice, but I can tell you that I totally feel for you. We went through the same problem with my grandson's second helmet. It was soo wrong that I said, could this be possibly some other child's helmet? It would smoosh, pinch and rotate. So, in a way I am venting with you. We are in the process of getting an appointment out of town to try to help our little guy as much as possible. When you live in a major metropolitan area as we do you would not think you'ld have to do that.

Hello....I will have to say that I am sorry you are going thru the bad fit of the band. Anabel was 7.5 months old when she was banded just 2 weeks ago. I thought that 2 weeks from the time of having the scan and getting the band would mean that she might grow too much for the band to fit right. I was so pleased with the fit...and the adjustments the technician had made to make it fit her better. She took time to do it.

My son is 3 years old and now that I know what Plagio is...I think my son had it and well his head is quite mis-shapen...but being the first time mom and the doctors never mentioned it...I kind of figured that everything was ok. Now My husband and I both notice it...while others don't and I think that's mainly because of the issues that we are dealing with for Anabel. Had we known I would have at least had Diego evaluated!!! To tell you the truth...we might have believed the doctor when he said that everything would round itself out with Anabel by the time she was 3, but luckily my son was in the room and I had him check his head to prove that my sons had not self-corrected by the time he was 3. Does this make sense? So the doctor was more willing to make the referral.

Back to Anabel....yes the had to make minor adjustments, but even at 7.5 months she still is growing at a rapid rate and I want to say that I have noticed (more than expected) some improvement in the first 2 weeks as we go back for a re-check tomorrow or thursday (I had better check on that).

I hope that they make a good fit this time around and take the time. Good luck!

What kind of band are you using. Stay positive and assertive, if you are unhappy let the technicians know. You are paying good money and deserve to see the correction you know is possible.
