Guest guest
After I will get my fifth iron IV I want to test. The thing is that in the private lab I take the tests they only check ferritin, serum iron and transferin. My question is would that be enough to figure that the iron is good enough?Maybe I can get also TIBC from my GP but it will be very difficult if possible at all. I will have to make a real scene at his office because he will probably refuse (my last tests were"normal").What do you think?

People with insurance often forget (those of us without it NEVER forget {sigh}) that you can usually order you own tests too. (Depending on the state laws where you live.) Life Extension Fundation (www.lef.org) offers this: Iron and Total Iron Binding (TIBC) Non-members$37.33 each Members $21.00 each
