Guest guest
Both of your kids are ADORABLE!!! I see flattening on the bottom - and it appears that there is some height in the back. Have you taken him to a band provider to get measurements done to see what the severity is? I couldn't see in the pics - but is there any facial asym, ear asym or forehead bossing? Jen and Luli - 24 months Left tort - Right Plagio - Hanger Band Grad - CA http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/j/jens5th/ Finally...Pictures of !! I finally posted some pics of . They are all about a month and a half old, I will get more recent ones on soon. Can you take a moment to look under K, I'm sure most of you know my concerns about whether I should band or not, or whether I should trust what the Chiro and Osteo are saying that his head will get better with their help alone. Well, now I have pictures of him for you to see... what do you think? Thanks! More new features than ever. Check out the new AOL Mail! Guest guest
What a QT! He is pretty flat in the back. But I think you are lucky that there doesn't appear to be any asymatry in his face. I am all about alternative treatments when traditional or tried a true treatments have failed. But... I would probably band. Kami <Mitchandjim@...> wrote: I finally posted some pics of . Guest guest
Yep, took him to Cranial Tech... mild to moderate is what they classify him as. His measurements were: Cranial Vault Asym - 8mm Mid-face Asym - 2mm Skull-base Asym- 4mm Said he is a candidate for banding because he does have some facial asymmetry.. his ears are a little off, left side of face flatter with some eye asymmetry. Right forhead sticks out some... you know, all the fun stuff. But she said it was mild, so alot of it would "prob" get better on own, but due to face asymmetry recommended band. (but did seem on the fence about it) Also has some Brachy... :-) **************Start the year off right. Guest guest
Hi - From the photos, it looks like the side angle shows the most prominent flat spot, so I see your concern. Just in case you want something to compare him to, my son just went to CT for his consult on Thursday and will be casted tomorrow. His measurements were: Traditional Cranial Vault Assym: 15 mm Cranial Vault Assym: 19mm Skull-Base Assym: 15 mm (They didn't give me a mid-face assym measurement for some reason, although his left eye is definitely a little lower than his right). He is considered high moderate and is almost 17months old. I have definitely seen some natural correction over the last year, but obviously not enough! So I can only imagine what his measurements would have been like at 4 months old. On paper, I personally would be thrilled with a measurement of 8 mm, but like an earlier post said, we should be less concerned with numbers and more concerned with their overall look. So I say, if you're unhappy with the shape of his head, go for it. Particularly if you have any inkling that you might regret your decision not to band later down the road. It might work itself out on its own, but unluckly for us, we don't have time machines or crystal balls to help us know that for sure! So do what your gut tells you, and you won't regret it. Good luck! in Raleigh Mom to Jake-16.5m (tort resolved, future DocBand), and Jordan-
