Guest guest
I have been on t3 only for 6 weeks due to high rt3. At 50mcg of t3 my fingernails started growing. I actually have to file my nails, imagine that. Also noticed new hair growth. Yippee. I am now taking 75mcg of t3 and plan on remaiming on this dose for another six weeks then retesting. Don't think I need to go any higher on t3 as my thyroid gland is not functioning so I do not need to suppress t4 production. I am also taking 20mg of HC. I truly believe that the HC has made this transiton to t3 possible. Before HC I could not get past 35mcg of t3. Maureen
Guest guest
Great news Maureen, it does feel good doesn't it? I've been on T3 for approximately 3 weeks now and have increased it to 90mcg in this time (I started on 30mcg). Although I still have a way to go to being free of all hypothyroid symptoms, I noticed my energy increased (no more need for afternoon naps) and my mood also increased. Now I have noticed my eyebrows are already starting to grow back a little at the edges - I thought to myself - gee, 'I better wax my eyebrows' for the first time in a LONG time. Looking forward to seeing what happens over the next 9 weeks or so! Alana > > I have been on t3 only for 6 weeks due to high rt3. At 50mcg of t3 my fingernails started growing. Guest guest
I also am on T3 since May 1st. and am seeing and feeling a big difference in symptoms. I firmly believe being on the synthroid was causing more problems added to the thyroid disease. I am not bloated anymore, feeling more energy, and my mood is alot better, my husband is noticing the changes too!! > > > > I have been on t3 only for 6 weeks due to high rt3. Guest guest
I am so encouraged that you are so encouraged! I've only been on T3 meds for about a week, but I was beginning to think I was never going to feel like my old self. Here's to hope, and thanks for sharing your experience!
