Guest guest
my daughter 18 yrs old...on 1 grain NT and 40 mcg of cytomelshe had been on 35 of cytomel (10, 10, 10, 5)....we then raised it to 10, 15, 10, 5 but her afternoon temps went a bit high and she felt more tired so we then changed it to 10, 10, 10, 10....now her basal temps (preovulation) are low at 97.2-97.5...her temps in afternoon were 98.8 at 2 pm and 97.5 at 10 pmso what does this mean??it is as if she did not add that extra 5 of T3?? she takes melatonin at night and lots of b complex etc...her ferritin was good....we added the extra T3 based on these results...taking 1 grain NT and 35 T3Ferritin....87FT3....3.9 pg/ml (2.3-4.2)Ft4....0.44 (0.73-1.95)TSH ....<0.1RT3....127 pg/ml (90-350)please advise..i am trying to get her stable before she leaves for college....seems like she was better before adding the extra 5 so should we drop the extra 5 and leave it as it was?? Guest guest
How long has she been on T3? Maybe the T4 in the natural is interfering with the T3 and causing her to go hgher RT3 when she gets near where she should be. > > > > my daughter 18 yrs old...on 1 grain NT and 40 mcg of cytomel > > she had been on 35 of cytomel (10, 10, 10, 5)....we then raised it to 10, 15, 10, 5 but her afternoon temps went a bit high and she felt more tired so we then changed it to 10, 10, 10, 10....now her basal temps (preovulation) are low at 97.2-97.5...her temps in afternoon were 98.8 at 2 pm and 97.5 at 10 pm > > so what does this mean??it is as if she did not add that extra 5 of T3?? she takes melatonin at night and lots of b complex etc...her ferritin was good.... > > we added the extra T3 based on these results...taking 1 grain NT and 35 T3 > > Ferritin....87 > FT3....3.9 pg/ml (2.3-4.2) > Ft4....0.44 (0.73-1.95) > TSH ....<0.1 > RT3....127 pg/ml (90-350) > > please advise..i am trying to get her stable before she leaves for college....seems like she > was better before adding the extra 5 so should we drop the extra 5 and leave it as it was?? >
