Hi everyone:

Monday was Aiden's first appointment with DOC in the West Chicago

Suburb of Oakbrook Terrace. They are very professional group, what a

difference from our previous encounters locally. I was berating

myself for not going up there sooner; the Technician assured me

with " your are here now " .

This will be Aiden's 3rd helmet, helmet #1 did o.k., #2 did

absolutely nothing for him because of the bad fit, so now at 17

months (16 adjusted by his original due date) he is receiving the DOC

band (Starband previously).

Since we have a 6 hour drive and have to spend the night in Chicago,

the staff suggested that we contact " Angelflight " . They were

absolutely prompt in getting back to us, so hopefully a pilot will be

found to take us up there on the 14th to get his new hat.

So, at this point, that is the main point of my post: anyone with

financial need should qualify for Angelflight. There are of course a

lot of " ifs " : they can't fly if the weather is bad, etc. so an

alternate plan has to always be in place.

Hello to everyone, I have learned sooo much out of these posts,

Hi Heidrun-

I'm so glad you feel good about this third go at the helmet. CT is

really great. We go to Charlotte for my son, who also started right

at 17 months old, and we started seeing changes in the first week

(much more minimal than some younger babies would see, but I

honestly wasn't expecting to see ANY change for weeks because of his

age, so was thrilled when we saw one spot pop out after one week).

So I think you're in really good hands there.

And it's great that you'll be able to benefit from Angelflight. I'm

sure that's going to be a huge help.

Please keep us posted on Aiden's progress. Good luck!
