I haven't read or heard about any connection between Plagiocephaly

and Autism so I really wouldn't let her Plagio and Torticollis make

you more concerned about Autism. I have got very little knowledge

about Autism but do know that boys are at a much higher risk for

Autism than girls and I believe the diagnosis usually isn't made

until around 18-24 months so it seems a little early for your little

girl to be diagnosed. I would say since you are concerned to

definitely discuss it with you pediatrician but not to worry that the

plagio or torticollis is triggering autism.

I don't thing plagio and autism are related, although there are a few

babies who have both. I don't think 4.5 mo is old enough to start

seeing signs of autism, but you should ask your doctor since that is

the best way to address your concerns. I'm not sure either of the 2

moms I'm thinking of (with plagio and autism) are currently active in

the group.

I would agree with that I don't think plagio and autism

are related. Also, like she said, I'm not sure if it could be

diagnosed at 4.5 months old. I have a friend whose baby did the

same thing as yours at that early age but she is 22 months and is

not autistic. I would think if a kid was going to have autism then

they would have it regardless of plagio. I would ask your ped.

though since you are concerned and hopefully that will put your

concerns at rest or if your little one is autistic then it will help

with what the next steps are.
