iron supplementation and how long does it take to get ferritin levels up t o 70

Dear mods and others,

Supplementing with 180 mg elemental iron per day, can you advise how long it would typically take to raise ferritin from low 40s to 70 and higher? Does the form of the iron matter in affecting the speed with which this happens.
