Guest guest
FT4: 0.3 ng/dL (0.8-1.8) FT3: 299 (230-420) RT3:<3 (11 - 32) This does not reflect RT3 clearance, it shows it has reduced in the blood but it does not show what is in the receptors. It also shows your FT3 is still WAY TOO LOW. HWat you are feelign is eihter adrneal stress caused by intolerance or HIGH coritosl or low iorn causing anxiety. You do nto need less T3 but you very likly are on too much HC. Have you done an iron panel? -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
Guest guest
Iron panel is from late January: Iron, Serum 63 (35 - 155)Iron Bind. Cap. (TIBC) 285 (250-450)UIBC 222 (150-375)Iron Saturation 22 (15-55)Ferritin, Serum 113 (10-291) Down from 120 in October. So should I consider remaining at 75 mcg T3 and begin reducing HC? I would reduce HC by 2.5 mg for the next 5 days? 7 days? Then down another 2.5mg? Being on the 50 mg cortisol, I have been so calm. No exagerated startle response, no pains in legs... Thanks! Guest guest
I would reduce HC by 5mg every 7 days whiel raising iron SLOWLY. Your Binding capacity is pretty low so you wil not be able ot raise it quickly btu your % sat shoudl be 35-45% to utilize thyroid properly. That is why you are gettgin the adrenal stress symtposm adn high pulse and all when takign T3. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
Guest guest
Thanks Val; let me make sure I understand you... Keep T3 at 75mcg; Decrease HC by 5mg every 7 days; slowly increase Iron... If I'm currently at 52mg iron, and have been at that (off and on) for 3 weeks or so, should I increase by 26mg once a week until I'm at 150mg or so? Weeks ago I tried the higher dosage of iron and it was not a good experience! Thanks to your explanation, I now understand why! Is all this why I'm having the irregular heartbeat (it's not too fast, but irregular.?) I'm scheduled for another full Iron Panel (and thyroid labs) last week of July. Thanks so much for helping me make sense of this. Re: RT3 Clearance in 6 Weeks??? New Labs I would reduce HC by 5mg every 7 days whiel raising iron SLOWLY. Guest guest
Yes it is intolerance to T3 as your iron is not handling it properly. I would try to get the HC down to no more than 30mg and only stop decreasing if oyu get nausea or unc9ntrollable shakiness that are definitel low cortisol symptoms. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
Guest guest
Ok...Doc's office called me today as follow-up to my visit on Friday. They agree with my dropping the HC (they want it at 20mg.) I'm currently on day 3 of 45mg HC down from 50. BUT, they also want me to drop the T3 to 50...Currently at 75mcg t3. AND they want me to get an EKG because of irregular heart rythm, sensitivity to heat/sweats, palps. My pulse is NOT fast, just hard. I'm using the salt water and iron. After rereading the the RT3 site and Dr. Lowe, my sense is I need to stay at least at 75mcg T3. I'm so confused and frustrated. It seems I take 2 steps forward and 3 steps back. And now, at 45 mg HC, aches in hands and feet are returning. But is that an indication of low cort or low t3? Thanks!
