Guest guest
Shakiness is sometimes caused by low cortisol. I see you posted cortisol labs in January, which weren't too bad, but without a more recent test there's no way to tell if your cortisol status has changed since then. I can't say for certain what is causing these symptoms, but I can say what I would do: decrease the T3 a little and see if it helped. If yes, then I'd stay there for a few days, then try a small increase again. > > I am now coming up on 3 weeks on Cytomel to fix my RT3 issue (ratio is 10). I am up to 31.25 mcg per day. My temp averages for the last few days has been a consistant 99.0 degrees. After having an iron infusion 2 months ago my ferritin is 126. I have been experiencing some heart palpitations and ALOT of shakiness as well as some occasional dizziness. Any ideas on what could be causing this? > > Thanks, Tammy >
Guest guest
Thanks, Margery. I will decrease T3 a bit and slow down the progression. I have also started taking Rhodiola and Ashwaganda to hopefully help regulate the cortisol but I am wondering how much of each I should take. Any ideas or should I consult the adrenal group? Thanks again for your help. Tammy > > > > I am now coming up on 3 weeks on Cytomel to fix my RT3 issue (ratio is 10). I am up to 31.25 mcg per day. Guest guest
Yes, the adrenals group is the best place to go for info about Rhodiola and Ashwaganda. Here's the link: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ Here's a excerpt from one of Val's posts on the adrenal group: " rhodiola and ashwaganda BOTH are what is called adaptogens which means they adapt to what your levels of cortisol are. They can help raise it a little when you are low and lower a little when you are high.
