hello my dd is 4.5 months old and has mod to sever plagio and mild

tort. we get to pick up her helmet next week. my sil just mentiond her

friends kid also had plagio and they said that he was also autistic. i

am wondering if anyone knows if the plagio can cause autism ornot. i do

not know what the time line is for testing for autism. i know they

tested my son @early intervention he was shoeing some signs, my concern

is that my dd freeks out if someone other that mom or dad holds her, or

even if anyone looks at her, we also have to keep her away from large

groups of people bacause she freeks. it takes forever to calm her down.

i know that these are some signs of autism, i am just nervous and don't

know what to do. do you think i should mention this to our ped next

week when we go for

a check up? does anyone have info on autism and infants? thank you so

much.

Hi! I looked into autism since my daughter has a speech delay. But, i would mention it to your pediatrician just to help put your mind at ease..I know I like to address concerns to mine to help make me feel better and more informed. But there are some good websites on autisms with checklist..I believe the signs are most obvious at a year or older. But, she may just simlpy only like one of you guys to hold her...because isnt separation anxiety common around that age. Since she is so young...I dont think you have anything to worry about...but I would still ask your pediatrician.

hi - i definitely do not think that plagio is associated with autism. and just to ease your concerns, my daughter freaked out for the longest time when anybody other than her mother held her. she didn't even like when her father held her. she also did not like to be around a lot of people when she was younger. my daughter is two now and she is fine. 4.5 months is too young to diagnosis autism, but if you are concerned continue to monitor her behaviors and bring your concerns to your pediatrician. the earlier a child receives intervention, the better. candice, nystevensc81 <stevensc81@...> wrote: hello my dd is 4.5 months old and has mod to sever plagio and mild tort. we get to pick up her helmet next week. my sil just mentiond her friends kid also had plagio and they said that he was also autistic. i am wondering if anyone knows if the plagio can cause autism ornot. i do not know what the time line is for testing for autism. i know they tested my son @early intervention he was shoeing some signs, my concern is that my dd freeks out if someone other that mom or dad holds her, or even if anyone looks at her, we also have to keep her away from large groups of people bacause she freeks. it takes forever to calm her down. i know that these are some signs of autism, i am just nervous and don't know what to do. do you think i should mention this to our ped next week when we go for a check up? does anyone
