Guest guest
Hi cassie, I think with some kids, it is a natural phase to only want to be held by their parents. I have 10 month old boy/girl twins and from 4-6 months I was the only one they would go to, they even screamed when their poor dad tried to take care of them. When children start to recognize who is around them, and especially when they start having a routine, when anything out of the 'norm' occurs, it seems to be a natural reaction for them to freak out or cry.At least that is how it has been for my twins. As for autism testing, when I took my twins in for their 9 month checkup, I had to fill out a survey for each of them. The survey had various questions, when I asked about it they told me that the survey was to start checking for early signs of autism. So at your daughter's 6 month check up I would ask your doctor about it.
