I also like the di-magnesium maleate from Jigsaw Health. I read that the absorption is excellent, and it doesn't cause diarrhea.AnnTo: RT3_T3 Sent: Fri, June 18, 2010 7:31:47 PMSubject: Re: mag.

Hi Suzanne, I can tell you that I've been taking 800 to 1200 mg of magnesium daily and my serum levels are always slightly above range, but my RBC magnesium (cellular level) was at the bottom of the range! I do buy high quality supplements so because of this RBC result, I've decided to get the Ancient Minerals topical magnesium. However, one option might be to try the Albion chelated magnesium bisglycinate. It's molecularly bound to glycine so the absorption is exellent. (It's even patented.) Bluebonnet and Doctor's best both sell, both of which you can get for get prices at. www.iherb.com If

you have never taken magnesium, don't go over 400 for a while or you may end up with some bowel disturbances. But I would strive to get to at least 800 if not 1000 and then test again in a month or so after you get to that dose. Or you could just try the topical, too. Some people say it's expensive but it's only $28 a bottle and I don't think you have to use that much. Margery,How did you know how much you were using when using a topical. My doctor wants me to take 300mg. With the pills I am barely tolerating 200mcg besides the fact that there is cellulose in the brand I am taking.VeniziaSubject: Re: mag.To: RT3_T3 Date: Saturday, June 19, 2010, 1:09 PM

I raised my RBC magnesium with the topical when NOTHING else worked.
