RT3 clearance and Doc appt

I'm in week 8.5 of no T4 & RT3 clearance. For the first time in my life, my

morning temps are 98 to 98.4. My pulse is staying in the high 80s and is

sometimes in the 90s. Suddenly, I have energy, but am a bit wired at night the

past day or so. I like the mental clarity I'm having, but need to sleep and stay

asleep rather than waking several times a night. I'm under financial stress, and

have been taking melatonin for a year or so to sleep. the wakefulness at night

is new.

I'd scheduled an appt with my doc for June the 28th, and now I'm feeling like I

should wait the full 12 weeks, have labs, THEN meet with her. Doesn't that make

sense?

Another issue is my vision...which has gone to heck in a handbasket with the

hypothyroid/adrenal issue. My right eye just won't focus normally. It sort of

shutters if that makes sense. My left eye is fine, but the right is always a bit

lazy, out of focus, then if I shut my left, the right steps up to the plate and

can see. It is driving me crazy. I'm nearsighted and have worn glasses since I

was 11, but just had a comprehensive eye exam, and nothing is wrong...but

something is. I've read here that others have had this visual issue...would love

to know how you're dealing with it.

currently I'm on 100 mg Cytomel taken 25mg at 10am, noon, 3 and 5pm. 40mg

topical HC, progesterone, testosterone, oral DHEA, mag, C, E, D, B-12 etc.

I'd love to hear from some of you with similar issues.

Thanks,

Yes I agree it makes more sense to wait. But are thiose BASAL morning

temps or the first of the day at three hours waking? You may be pushing

just a tad too much T3 and your coritl sis a very high dose. DHEA maybe

the cause of you needing that high a dose.

Hi Val, and thanks,

I forgot to say that I've been really sick with a nasty cold for almost three

weeks, which is why I stopped decreasing the HC. I'm working my way down as

you'd recommended a month or so ago.

Those are basal temps. But this morning, I was back at my regular 97.6...sigh.

Over the past week my 3x a day temps avg is 98.3.

Re DHEA, I'm taking 25mg a day. Have been taking 20mg for a year, and just

increased. Should I decrease that?

I was trying to learn more about blood sugar, leptin resistance and T3, but got

booted off that group.... can you point me anywhere else for the leptin issue,

just in case I am resistant to that, as well as everything else? I feel 100%

better off all grains.

Thanks again,
