My daughter has been out of her band for about 1.5 years, but she wore

it through security with no extra screenings etc. they didn't even

mention it. we flew from san francisco area to Boston.

I don't know about security screening, but when I told my son's

preschool teacher that he would be getting a helmet, she said that

her family had just been to Disney World and she saw 10-12 babies

with helmets while they were there. So you should be in good company!

Have fun on your trip!

We flew while my son had his helmet and we had no trouble at all. We

were not asked to remove his helmet to go through security and it

didn't set off the metal detector. I would recommend that you bring a

large ziploc or other bag to put the helmet in just in case they ask

you to remove it and send it through the x-ray machine.
