Guest guest
Whne very hypothyroid the heart is not pumping enough blood to refil the cells wiht oxygen, so you actually get lwo oxygen in your cells. This si generally common only whne the pulse is lowered form hypo quite a bit. I had it all the time when my pulse wasin the 50's. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ I've been reading about this for a long time and never have asked what air hunger is? Guest guest
Then you have anothewr reason for the higher pulse than high THyroid. Such as adrenaline which I believe causes it's own air hunger from constricting the blood vessels. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ What if you have this air hunger, but your pulse is normal to high? Guest guest
As I was clearing RT3, there was some gradual improvement, but I have to say it was uneven...some days better than others. It continued to improve, much more steadily, after clearance. I noticed additional improvement on this when I improved my magnesium levels. An astute student doctor at my last Dr.'s appointment noticed this connection. I reported my breathing had improved; she noticed my RBC magnesium had gone up at the same time - it was not a coincidence. She said magnesium helps muscles relax, and that includes bronchial muscles. > > > > I've been reading about this for a long time and never have asked what > > air hunger is? Guest guest
Margery, I noticed that Friday afternoon and night I was breathing much better. It felt really good. But for some reason when I get up the next a.m. after a good day or part of a day, it's like starting over again! Not sure what is up with this. So you had it for a long time, too? I just want to get a life back, and I know everyone else on here does, too! I only get real relief when I'm sleeping except for those rare days when it eases up some. I am using lots of magnesium. How much each day were/are you taking? THANKS! Guest guest
I sure it has more than one cause. Val had mentioned her current issues with mycoplasma...I had late-onset asthma, which I believe was caused by mycoplasma. Here's a link to an article about it: http://www.drmirkin.com/morehealth/G107.htm Of course, adult-onset asthma = air hunger. I also believe improperly treated hypothyroid patients are more susceptible to things like mycoplasma. > > I've been reading about this for a long time and never have asked what air hunger is?  Can someone explain what happens please? > > > > > > > > > > > > Kem in Eugene > >      <º)))>< > > >
