I take brand name Cytomel & I have the 5 mcg tablets.

1.What do you think is causing the T3 to pool?

2.Why do you think my potassium dropped? Is it bc of high cortisol?

3.Why do you think my sodium won't go up? I am on 1 1/4 tabs of Florinef & 3 1/2

teaspoons of sea salt.

4. From which dose should I drop my 1st 2.5 mg of HC? I take it as follows: 10,

7.5, 5 & 2.5. Should I drop 2.5 mg of HC tomorrow?

5. How long should I stay at the reduced T3 dosage of 60 mcg? I got my IV iron

today & will be getting another 1 in 10-11 days.

Florinef doe snot raise serum sodium. I uses potassium to allow sodium INSIDE

the cells thus it takes ti from the BLOOD into the cells. Thus oftne BOTH sodium

adn potassium go down onFlorinef. This is why yo CANNOT adjust Florinef by JUST

electrolytes. Yu need ot use thse and symoptoms and BP especially.

I would lower first dose to 7.5

Probably till after the second IV, then in a day or two after that one.

1. Do you think I should reduce my Florinef? I am currently on 1 1/4 tabs. I was

thinking of going bk to 1 tab.

2. From which dose should my 2nd HC reduction come from? I am now on 7.5, 7.5, 5

& 2.5.

3. Do you think I should increase my Klor Con? I am currently on 100 meq per

day.

4. Do you think I should increase my sea salt? I am currently taking 3 1/2

teaspoons per day.

5. How long do you think it will take for the pooled T3 to be used up by my

body?
